Online teachers Training Program
Generative Artificial Intelligence for Active Teaching and Learning
21-hour micro-certification (17 synchronous + 4 asynchronous) to build competencies for AI-mediated teaching–learning processes.

General Description
21-hour micro-certification program (17 synchronous + 4 asynchronous) that develops teaching skills for the pedagogical use of generative AI from a basic to an intermediate level. The program strengthens key skills such as:
- Designing educational assistants with AI.
- Integrating generative tools into subjects.
- Applying AI in active learning activities.
- Reflection on the ethical aspects of using AI in academic integrity, taking into account institutional regulations (if any).
These skills enable teachers to incorporate IAGen into their daily practice, optimise teaching and feedback processes, and offer more dynamic learning experiences in line with current challenges and Unito's commitment to digital transformation.
Objectives
- Develop key competencies in Unito teachers to design and implement teaching-learning processes mediated by generative AI, promoting active learning methods and the application of ethical criteria.
- At the end of the program, teachers will have redesigned their current courses and created educational assistants with IAGen, making their teaching practices more efficient and active.
Value Proposition
- Experiential training with live sessions and independent work, where teachers work on their situations and courses.
- Content and practice based on the specific needs of teachers, with opportunities to share experiences with teachers from the same discipline.
- Access to a community of practice, with the possibility of continuity at the institutional level.
- Assessment based on challenges adapted to teachers' regular courses.
- Access to experienced facilitators.
- Micro Certificate awarded by Tec de Monterrey & Columbus.
- Baseline and post-training tool that measures the level of appropriation of concepts and competencies, useful for the institution for monitoring and scalability
